Members of White Ribbon Alliance’s Global Secretariat were honored to participate in the fourth annual White Ribbon Run, organized by the Japanese Organization for International Cooperation in Family Planning, or JOICFP, to celebrate International Women’s Day and raise money for reproductive and maternal health.

Thousands participated across Japan — from Fiji to Nagano and everywhere in between — and hundreds from around the world, including our team in Washington, DC (we come in toward the end of the video, after Tanzania, before Vietnam).

While we were running in spirit of the global movement for women’s and girls’ health and rights and in sisterhood with our Japanese advocates, those who entered the race in Japan raised money for JOICFP’s reproductive health project in Zambia and Kenya.

Congratulations to all who participated! Together, we can create a world where all women and girls realize their right to quality health and well-being.

White Ribbon Alliance Global Secretariat team members ran for improved global maternal health during the White Ribbon Run in Washington, DC.
